Tomorrow I leave for Columbus OH and Trotcon 2013!  Last year was one of the most fun and definitely the most laid-back and non-stressful conventions of the year.  I'm really looking forward to catching up with friends and having some fun at my first convention of this year!

Here are some examples of pony-related paraphernalia and the prices I plan to charge for things and stuff.

TrotPrints by *PixelKitties

Prints!  So many prints!  These are 4x6" poster cards.  I do my best to keep prices low and offer deals so folks can get maximum stuff for their stuff dollar (It used to be "maximum swag for your swag dollar" but I understand that word is a bit passe now!)  In addition to prints, I have a crap ton (which is like a regular ton except...more) of buttons-

TrotButtons by *PixelKitties

Buttons are 2 1/4" in size and I'm always trying to add more every convention.  Several have been retired since last year, but I've replaced them with new and hopefully better versions!  Also, the Peanut Bucker (Trotcon's OC) button is ONLY available at Trotcons!  So this will be your only chance to get one this year!

Buttons AND 4x6" prints are the same price- $3.50 each.  BUT you can get THREE buttons OR THREE prints OR two buttons and one print OR two prints and one button...whatever combination you prefer for only 3/ $5!  That's a saving of several monies!

For those who prefer their prints biggie sized-

TrotPosters by *PixelKitties

POSTERS!  They're just like the small prints except bigger.  And better.  And magical.  Seriously, these are full of magic.  Possibly lottery winning magic (but probably not!)

Posters are 11x17" and I sell them for $10 each OR 3/$25  I have a few styles left from last year as well, but once those are gone I won't be making any more.  Gotta keep moving forward!

DecBottles by *PixelKitties

Decorative bottles return!  They're not for drinkin' they're for displayin'!  They look great on a shelf, a desk, in your fridge, or in a bar fight (That's a joke, don't hit people with bottles.  It's not like the movies!  You can kill someone, or at least break their whole head!)

Decorative Bottles are $5 each EXCEPT for the Nuka Classy Quantum.  It comes with a glowing coaster thingie and GLOWS WITH RADIOACTIVE POWER

Glowingbottle by *PixelKitties

Note- Bottle isn't actually radioactive.  Probably...isn't radioactive. Nuka Classy Quantum Decorative Bottles sell for $10

And of course there's the great biggie item!  The Harmony Book Boxes-

Box01 by *PixelKitties

Everyone has been very generous with price estimates and I really appreciate that you're willing to pay a fair price for something that a lot of time and effort went into.  At the same time, I want folks to be able to afford these without breaking the bank for the rest of their time at the convention.  I'm going to sell the boxes for $40 for small, $50 for medium, and $60 for the large boxes.  I hope that seems reasonable to everyone!

One last thing item- STICKERS!.

TrotStickers by *PixelKitties

You always pay the iron price for stickers, which are cheap as free with purchase (or if you ask me really nicely!)  Please refrain from putting stickers on public property, pets, or Theon Greyjoy... who is kind of both.

And that's everything I'll have!  If I sell out of some stuff and there's table space I have some other extra things that may appear, but we'll see how it goes!

OH!  I almost forgot to mention that I made a new autograph card for one Mr. Peter New featuring Big Macintosh and a surprise friend!  You can get those exclusively at Peter's table.

PeterN by *PixelKitties

If you have time, stop by my table and say hello!  I have stuff to sell and hugs are free!  AND if you say the secret phrase "Prickly Purple Porcupine Procession" you'll get...my congratulations because that is REALLY hard to say!

Thanks everyone!  Hope to see you in Columbus!

A metric ton of happy arrived in the mail in the form of three packages from incredibly awesome and sweet people.

My friend :iconotakusquirrel: picked up an extra Derpy card for me from EQLA and even sent along an extra Derpy and Crackle cards!  Hooray for second best dragon!

Thank you thank you, my dear!

JuneThanks02 by *PixelKitties

Then there's the lovely and talented and in-all ways brilliant Cathy Weseluck, voice of Number 1 Best Dragon AND Mayor Mare AND Cherry Berry AND Flitter...honestly it's a list of pony voices as long as my arm.  And I have very long arms!  A couple months back I made her an autograph card of Spike and Ponyville's favorite political pone, and she sent me back several signed copies!  Squee!  She was one of the very first VAs I met and remains one of my most favorite people in the world!  <3

JuneThanks01 by *PixelKitties

Finally, there's the ALSO lovely and talented and brilliant and unbelievably sweet GM Berrow, author of Twilight Sparkle and The Crystal Heart Spell, Pinkie Pie and the Rockin' Ponypalooza Party, Rainbow Dash and the Daring Do Double Dare, and Equestria Girls: Through the Mirror.  She sent me a copy of the autograph card I made for her along with autographed copies of her pony books and wonderfully nice card!

How can I hold all this happy?  Thank you so much everyone!

With the release of the latest Equestria Girls trailer, several friends have expressed a bit more interest in the upcoming movie.  The trailer certainly presents us a bit more hints of story, along with a few more sneak peaks of cameos and EQG versions of beloved characters.

For my part, I'm still largely indifferent.  I look forward to checking it out on DVD or Blu Ray, but don't feel the pressing need to run out and see it in theaters.

I'm curious what you fine Deviant Artists think about the new trailer or your anticipation level for EQG's release.

For that matter, what do you think of the somewhat underwhelming prototype designs for the dolls.

EQGIrlsDolls by *PixelKitties

As a huge Monster High fan and collector, these dolls leave me...underwhelmed to say the least.  While the toys clearly draw inspiration from, and are designed to compete with, Monster High, the MH line has the market cornered because of consistently high quality and commitment to theme aesthetic. Each doll is incredibly well made and unique, with specifically tailored outfits and accessories and a clever nod to gory and gruesome horror tropes.  The EQG dolls look like carbon copies of one another and their outfits don't say much about the character or her personality.  At least AJ has a hat...I guess.

This past weekend I picked up Monster High's newest release- the Headmistress Bloodgood doll (with removable head, naturally) dressed her equestrian horse-riding/dominatrix attire and packaged complete with her Nightmare.  The horse, incidentally, has a brushable mane and tail!  A shot across the bow of Equestria Girls, just two weeks before its release, or pure coincidence?

Headmistress by *PixelKitties

I'm interested in your various Equestria Girls thoughts, opinions and rants!  Let me know what you think in the comments!
Folks have been asking for size information on the book boxes, so here's a quick rundown on just how big they are plus some pics with reference items.

All sizes are in inches, Width, Height, Depth.  The first size is for the box as a whole, the second just for the inner box part.

Large Box-
    Outter Dimensions- 10.5" x 14" x 3.75"
    Inner Dimensions-   9.5" x 13" x 3"

Medium Box-
    Outter Dimensions- 8.5" x 12" x 3"
    Inner Dimensions-   7.5" x 10.75" x 2.5"

Small Box-
    Outter Dimensions- 6.5" x 9.75" x 2.5"
    Inner Dimensions-   5.5" x 8.5" x 1.75"

Here are some additional pics of the boxes for comparison.  I used some regular, brushable-size ponies, a comic book, Blind Bag box and trading cards for scale.

Note that the gold bits aren't quite as shiny in these pics.  They're all covered in a protective plastic layer, but underneath they're shiny shiny!

Box02 by *PixelKitties

The three sizes all nest inside each other.
Box03 by *PixelKitties

You can put all kinds of things inside!

Box04 by *PixelKitties

Also, for those who missed the update on the Box deviation page, I'm going to try and offer a set or two between Trotcon and Bronycon, some time in July probably.  I'll make a post about it here once I've got them ready to ship.  I am willing to ship worlwide, but be aware that postal rates in the US are kind of nuts right now, so it's probably going to be a bit pricey sending them outside the continental US.

Hope these help!  Thanks everyone for all the really great feedback and interest in the books!

Book by *PixelKitties

What the hell am I doing?!?

Two years ago I decided to enter a few giveaways on Ponychan and draw some OCs and requests.

Make no mistake, these were terrible.  Pretty much the artistic equivilent of being kicked in the pancreas while simultaneously drinking bathwater and watching Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

Still, when I needed a place to upload  them to the internet, I never imagined my several-year-old and woefully empty DA account would have ten followers, to say nothing of 11,000.

I may not understand it, but that doesn't change the fact I deeply, humbly appreciate it.  Every follower, every one of you took the time to look at my pictures and saw something they liked enough to watch me.  Thank you SO MUCH.  I hope I always live up to your expectations and do things that you find funny, compelling, enjoyable, or at the very least weird enough to pique your interest.

For my part I hope I've been a good online friend and have made you all feel welcome and appreciated.  I'm sorry I can't respond to every comment, I desperately would like to, and I used to try.  But it would amount to a second...uh, actually, counting pony stuff, THIRD full time job.  Have no doubt, I read every single one, and whether it's criticism or praise or indifference, I appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback.

I think we're all aware that things are tense with this fandom right now.  There's plenty of disappointment, anger, frustration, and concern to go around.  I'm not sure where any of us will be in the next two years.  I suspect the cartoon we love- as we know it- is drawing to a close, and maybe that's a good thing. But the end of the show is not the end of our adoration for what it is, what it represents.  My hope is that whatever happens we continue to obsess over little ponies- draw them, write stories about them, create music and animation and all manner of brilliant artistic endeavors around them.  And also, make them kiss.

In all seriousness, thanks for taking this ride with me so far.  So let's get some gas, pick up some snacks and Red Bull, and continue the journey together, through Season 4 and beyond.

And stop kicking my seat or I swear I'll turn this internet around RIGHT NOW!
Over the past 24 hours I've had nearly as many chain comments posted to my account.  They're all the same, some vague Ringu-inspired nonsense about dying if you read the message and if you post it to ten accounts you'll go on a really awesome date.  Seriously, it's like the worst urban legend ever.  It's like if you said Candyman in the mirror three times and he showed up to give you a winning lottery ticket and a back rub.

The point is, please do not post this on my pictures or profile.  I'll just mark it as spam.  This isn't 1997, all the chain mail threats and legend are disproved by now.  Nobody has died because they didn't forward the chain, and nobody is getting kissed by their super-secret crush because they did.

Also, apparently this silly picture I posted on my Tumblr last week is a meme now.  I'm very sorry.

Xboxone by *PixelKitties

So.  I guess we're all PC gamers now.

I've been playing console games my entire life.  I came into this world with a controller in one hand and AV cables in the other- which was extremely uncomfortable for my mother, mind you.

But now, with Xbox trying to BE a PC but without the high-end graphics, modding capability or the cross-system ownership of games you get with, say, Steam, there's no reason anymore to not just play the damn games on PC.

I don't want my console to control my smart TV, I don't want it to integrate with Skype or let me switch tabs by spastically waving my hand at the Kinect.  I just want it to play my games, that I paid for and own.

At this point I'm not even mad.  Just disappointed at the end of an era because of greed and MS not having any bloody idea what they're doing in the games industry.

Sigh.

In other news I really need to pick up Metro Last Light.

I returned to the Bronyville Podcast with AC and Sandy this past weekend to join in a roundtable discussion of Equestria Girls.  The question- Are they or are they not kinda magical?   The Answer- Maybe?  No?  Sort of?  Nobody really knows!

That's okay though.  Even without a definitive answer Foalpapers, Bob, Xyro, Spaz, Sandy, AC, and I still had quite a bit of fun talking it all over. You can listen to it all right here.  Or, if you prefer pictures of kitten in teacups, you can find that over here!

Normally I would go on and on with some long-winded rant about people being civil and not making death threats, but I know that most everyone reading this is on the same page.  You're an amazing, good-hearted, and intelligent group of folks and fans capable of reasoned positive, negative, and indifferent opinions.  You guys are awesome, and I appreciate both your friendship and your civility!

EQDStarTrekBanner by *PixelKitties

Tonight Mr. Kitties and I are going to be among the first to see a double feature of Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness.

You know, aside from the entire population of England.  And Australia.

And Croation, Austria, Hong Kong, Mexico, Norway, Egypt...

Right, so I'm not among the first to see it, but as long as I can feast my eyes upon Benedict Cumberbatch and Zachary Quinto for two hours, who cares!  Oh yeah, and lens flare, crashing star ships, phasers, torpedos, tribbles, Kirk's current/ex/wibbly-wobbly/timey-wimey girlfriend from Wrath of Khan in her underpants, Harry Mudd, V'ger, and God on a Starship.

That's all in there, right?

Gah!  Showtime can't get here fast enough!

Also, one of my things currently graces/defames the banner slot over at Equestria Daily!

EQG is like Elseworlds. Sure sometimes Batman is a cowboy vampire pirate, but not really.

If you really fall in love with Gay Vampire Pirate Cowboy Batman, its okay.  You can write fanfic, draw fanart, cosplay, and tell yourself (and anyone who will listen) that somewhere out in Universe 683492 Apple, Batman is swinging from a bonaventure mizzen with a stetson and a Winchester rifle, drinking the blood of brooding young men with pouty lips and exceptionally smooth legs.

If you hate Vampire Cowboy Robot Mormon Batman you can pretend it never happen and stick to the regular comics series where he's just a time traveling caveman.

Berry Punisher by *PixelKitties

Anyone up for watching one of my favorite guilty pleasure films, Punisher War Zone?  Ray Stevenson is PERFECT as Frank Castle.  Everything else is sort of a disaster.  But who cares?  RAY STEVENSON!

Before War Zone we'll check out Thomas Jane's independent short Punisher Dirty Laundry, co-starring Ron Perlman and a bottle of Jack used for things never before imagined!

Check it all out right here-

Showtime is roughly 7:15 PM EST, or roughly half an hour from now!

UPDATE- Stream is over!  Thanks to everyone who joined me!  I love watching bad movies with good friends! <3

Just want to say a couple things about today's explosions at the Boston Marathon.

My heart goes out to the victims and their families. I feel tremendous sadness and empathy for everyone affected by the explosion.  For all of us watching on the internet, on television or listening to news on the radio, the situation is shocking, but to those on the ground and their loved ones, their terror and pain and loss is devastating.  My heart aches for what they are going through at this very moment.

Since 9-11 we, as a culture and a country, have not done a good or decent job of continuing to support our first-responders.  The further we've gotten from the events of that terrible day, the more we've downsized, defunded, and often demonized police, EMTs, and firefighters.  But seeing these brave men and women rushing into the heart of an explosion to rescue victims is nothing short of inspiring and heroic.  Thank goodness for their presence at the marathon today and their dedication to duty and their fellow man.

Finally, it's been scarcely two hours since the initial explosions and already the comment threads on news sites, Twitter, and talk radio is filled with spin, blame, racism, and a political tug-of-war for the moral high ground.  "It's obviously a right-wing nut job!"  "We need to close out borders and get rid of these immigrants!"  On and on.  For the sake of respect and decency, don't be that asshole.  Don't assign blame when we still know absolutely nothing about the person or persons behind this tragedy.  Don't allow politics and divisiveness to win the day when we need rise to our best.  People are dead, wounded.  Families are grieving.  A maniac is still at large.  Let's show some respect and solidarity for the people of Boston, for our country, for one another.

Leaving Las Vegas by *PixelKitties

In the annals (huh hehheh) of Sunday afternoon history hanging out with friends, sitting at the bar of a local Carribean restaurant and watching Las Pegasus Unicon fall into panic and ruin over social network and Skype won't be recorded as being in my top ten. As I watched ominous tweets and skype messages, and and slightly-more-panicked-than-usual tumblr posts roll in,  I felt a roiling mix of concern for all my friends, vendors, musician, VIPs, guests stuck in the midst of the chaos and being effected by financial fallout along with empathy for other friends who were stepping in and stepping up to try and manage the RMS Titanic, bound for a killer iceberg in the middle of Las Vegas.  Oh, and somewhat ashamedly I must admit to a nagging sense of relief.  Here I was sitting in a tiny restaurant, thousands of miles away, missing the convention nightmare and all madness that followed in its wake.

The worst part was that this wasn't a minor hiccup we could all shrug off some minor drama, get a good night's rest, and laugh about it all the next day.  Dozens, perhaps hundreds of friends and fans were suddenly in dire financial shape.  Charities were seeing their earnings from the convention disappear, VAs, writers, artists, and VIPs were suddenly not getting any income and thrust into the worst Las Vegas vacation since Nicholas Cage showed up with a shopping cart full of booze. It was a big sinkhole of crap that threatened to drive away and generally piss off fans, as well as show cast and crew.

But that didn't happen.  Instead virtually everyone I know came together to do the right thing and help out the fans who were struggling.  Auctions were started, websites created, charity runners got together to deal with the incoming sea of funds in a way that was transparent and focused on getting the money to those who needed it. Instead of being a sinkhole of resentment, broken wallets, and hurt feelings, the aftermath of Las Pegasus Unicon was an opportunity for folks to rise up and help one another out.  It's brilliant, its heart-warming, and its inspiring.

The rush of goodwill continues on unabated, four days after the official and premature end of the convention.  At this point, I think the most important things we is proper reporting on who needs help.  If you attended Unicon, in whatever capacity, and suffered financial hardship due to the increased hotel rates, unpaid compensatory fees, etc please fill out this form ASAP- [link]  Please be as specific and provide as many details as you can.

From the tooting my own horn department, there's less than a day left on these two auctions for "I survived Las Vegas and all I got are these lousy wings" shirts-

Las Pegasus Shirt 01- [link]

Las Pegasus Shirt 02- [link]

If you win the auction, not only do you get the shirt but a random assortment of my various prints, buttons, and various convention swag!

Knighty from FIMFiction has set up a beautiful site that is a one-stop shop for information, news, and updates on the state of financial relief efforts- [link]

If you yourself want to offer items or services for auction, your one-stop-shop is the website set up by various pony-fan charities, The Las Pegasus Unicon Relief League- [link]

Finally, there are two Equestria Daily articles that have a further breakdown of links and information-

EQD Las Pegasus Relief 1- [link]

EQD Las Pegasus Relief 2- [link]

For my part, I just want express my heartfelt thanks and limitless pride in everyone who has donated their time, money, talent, and support to this effort.  Its easy to make fun of fandoms and mock the overextended drama and naval gazing that they are known for engaging in.  But in four days fans from all over the world came together to help each other, to lend a hand, and to turn a tremendously negative and pained experience into something extraordinary.  Thank you, everyone, for being kind and generous and brilliant and an inspiration to us all.

And thus, season 3 comes to a close with an adorkable new purple princess, an entire season's worth of amazing new songs, and an entire lifetime's worth of memes.  I loved the finale so much, my only wish is that there was MORE of it.  It felt like so much goodness was left on the cutting room floor to make space for a single episode.  Twenty minutes is clearly not enough to contain so much pony.  That said, I welcome our new purple princess and look forward to seeing what kind of trouble she gets into in the upcoming TWENTY SIX EPISODE Season 4!

And while all sources point to the next season being a ways off, even that's not so bad.  The fandom and the swirling chaos of feelings around this show has been boiling hot since Season 3 was announced as only 13 episodes.  Drama, worry and discussion and debate have been in high gear.  At this point, I truly believe it will do everyone good to settle in, and just enjoy the show without the spoiler-tastic week-to-week new episode implosion. This right here is a wonderful time- a perfect moment when we have so much pony joy to look back on and so much MORE to look forward to.  I, for one, plan to savor every second of it!

I hope everyone is doing well, having fun, and feeling good.  All the best to you, my pony friends!  Here's to three years of magical cartoon equines and so much more friendship and magic to come!

UPDATE- I should state that I don't believe that everyone or anyone should share my opinion or point of view.  I understand that there are folks who are disappointed and angry for various reasons.  Who are planning to stop watching the show, etc.  I don't fault anyone for reacting honestly and faithfully to themselves and their own interests.  I've loved My Little Pony since I was a little girl and I love it now more than ever.  I have a history with this property that makes it something of an indelible part of me and part of my personal history.  But every fan came to the show for their own reasons, and if they are no longer finding that spark that fired their imagination and sense of joy in cartoon horses, who's to say they're wrong?

I just don't want to leave anyone with the impression I'm trying to tell people what to do, feel or think.  These are my thoughts and feels and I respect everyone who I've met, corresponded with, and shared an affection for MLP:FIM with over the past three seasons.  To each their own and in their own way.

PS- Almost forgot my very FAVORITE part of the finale!

Soapbox2 by *PixelKitties

Controversy is once again brewing among fans of diminutive cartoon horses. It seems like a weekly ritual, this constant ebb and flow of panic and relief, unchecked caps-lock accompanied hyperbole and the arrogant dismissal of the concerns of an understandably protective fanbase. This time, though, the fear, worry, anger, and resentment are ratcheted up to 11 as folks worry for the future of the show as well as its most popular character. It all comes down to one question- is Twilight Sparkle- the adorkably awkward student of Princess Celestia about to ascend to Princesshood…uh, Princessdom? Princessity?

…ahem.

Is Twilight Sparkle going to turn into a princess permanently? And more to the point, what does this signify for the future of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Let me start by saying this- I’m not worried for two reasons. First, read the above sentence again. “Is Twilight Sparkle going to turn into a princess permanently? And more to the point, what does this signify for the future of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.” If you can take that sentence in any way seriously, then you’re a far more stoic person than I. Since my (modern) beginnings as a fan of My Little Pony I’ve never approached it with the same gravitas of, say, politics or even as seriously as I take being a fan of other shows and media- Sherlock, Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, James Bond, Punisher comics, Silent Hill games, etc. Frankly, My Little Pony is, for me, an escape from the super-serial storylines, fandoms, and entrenched history of other interests I follow- both real and fictional. My Little Pony plays to a different part of my brain; the same part that loves to sit in front of the TV eating cereal on Saturday morning or make crashing sounds when I wreck toy cars together. It’s not that I fail to hold MLP to a high standard, quite the opposite. From the animation to the writing to the jokes, I think each season, each episode has brilliance and merit. But I do hold it to a DIFFERENT standard. While sometimes I wonder what it would like for the show to deal with more concrete, grown up storytelling concepts and structure, I’m not disappointed when it fails to do so either. MLP FIM is just not that kind of creature. I am simply a firm believer that nothing involving cartoon ponies with magic symbols on their butts having adventures should never be the cause of so much stress and consternation.

Again, that is not to say the show isn’t brilliant on its own merits, which brings me to my second point. I think we all realize that My Little Pony is not a property with a long history of quality animation, storytelling, cleverness and well-rounded, thoughtful characters. When we were young, My Little Pony was a cartoon designed to sell toys. From a marketing standpoint not much has changed. But what is different now is that we have a team of smart, talented, and amazing artists, cast, and crew working on the show. Lauren Faust brought intelligence and a sense of self-awareness to what, ostensibly, could have been just as phoned in as Gen 3.5.

At the end of the day, Hasbro doesn’t particularly care about the quality of the show. They don’t care if you or I like it, if we, as people over 9 years old, buy the toys, support the show, or generate terabytes of art, music, videos, fiction, chats, websites or games every single day. Hasbro wanted a show that highlighted and drove demographic-specific sales of their molded plastic. They got that. But what Lauren and Jayson and Wootie and Sibsy and Raven and Meghan and M.A. and Daniel and Steffan have aspired to and delivered is so much more. They’ve worked to make the show greater than the sum of its semi-articulated parts with brushable hair and, for an additional $20 plus batteries, real voice action with six girly catchphrases. They approached the show as artists creating something smart and fun and meaningful that also happens to sell toys for the parent company.

So, yes, every season Hasbro makes demands. They need a new pink princess pony and for Twilight Sparkle to have a brother. The board wants to see crystal ponies because the buzzword “crystal” anything is popular with girls 4-8 years of age. And now, they want Twilight Sparkle to be a princess, because Hasbro is not like us. Hasbro is not like Lauren Faust and her message of empowerment for girls AND boys. Hasbro is not like M.A. Larson who writes amazing episodes filled with silly mayhem and unique approaches to the tropes of children’s programming. Hasbro is not like actual little girls or grown up adults who love the show for all its smart jokes and fun characters. Unlike all of us, Hasbro is convinced that being smart and capable and open to learning and new experiences- the myriad of character traits for which we love a certain purple unicorn, are unimportant. Their priority is rushing the character into being a princess because retailers don’t want books as accessories with girls toys, they want dresses and flowing hair and weddings and yards of pink material.

BUT, and this is the important bit, these demands are being filtered through artists and writers and directors who do understand, who ARE like us. These are the folks who gave us a fashionista pony who is smart and independent and isn’t averse to fisticuffs or weaponized whining. This is the same team that took an out-of-nowhere pink princess and made her into both a creepy insectoid monster queen AND a highly capable and good-hearted heroine who returns from exile to buck tradition and save her prince. These are the crafters of a show we love and appreciate- they know what we want to see, they believe in the work they produce and the world they have been building for three seasons.

As I’ve posted frequently here and on Tumblr and Twitter- I believe in M.A. Larson. But that’s really code for the fact I believe in every member of the My Little Pony production team. I believe they know what they’re doing, and no-matter what demands the parent company may make towards the direction of the show, DHX and the VAs will find a way to polish that rotten apple and make it shine, shine, shine.

So, all that being said- I’m not worried. I don’t fault other fans for their concerns, and I don’t want it to ever seem that I’m mocking or baiting those with concerns. By playing on fears and reactions I hope to lessen their weight and take some of the sting out of the drama. And while I don’t share in the anger or stress or worry, I can empathize and I wouldn’t dare make light of other people’s feelings.

But for my part, as long as DHX is running My Little Pony, I have no worries. I will not buy into the oft-repeated fan meme of "ruined forever" or be driven away from this show that brings me, consistently much joy. At the end of the day, giving a unicorn wings isn’t enough to tarnish my belief in the power of friendship and magic. Nor is it enough to keep me from showing up on Saturday morning with my pajamas and cereal and toys to crash together while making exploding noises.

Hi everyone!  My apologies for the inconvenience, but thanks to Comcast's reliably unreliable cable modem quality my internet at home is inconstant at best.  The technician guy is coming out Wed morning, but for now livestreaming is right out.   With that in mind, I'm moving Die Hard night (and the second round of MA Larson button give-aways) to Wednesday night at 630 pm EST.  As with last week, I'll start streaming a bit early and run trailers for all the Die Hard films.

Livestream link is here!

Sometime during the film I'll post a Die Hard-related trivia question to Twitter.  As before, the first 15 correct replies get an I Believe In MA Larson button!  Contest is limited to folks in the US and Canada until I have more time and spare cash to deal with international shipping.

That's it for now!  Hope everyone can join me for Die Hard 2 Die Harderer!

Good news, everybody!  The "I Believe in MA Larson" pins are ready!

I've got 30 pins and 30 stamps for mailing them.  To make things fair I'm going to offer them on a first-come, first-serve basis on Twitter.  This is how it's going to work:  Keep an eye on my Twitter page.  Sometime today (Monday Jan 28) I'm going to post a relatively simple My Little Pony-related Trivia question.  The first 15 people to reply with the correct answer get a pin!

I'll be doing a second round tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan 29) during my Die Hard 2 Livestream from 7pm and 9pm EST. Same deal applies- I'll post a Die Hard-related trivia question and the first 15 correct answers get a pin!

I'll be sending them out this weekend and will contact the winners via direct message on Twitter to get your mailing address.

Sadly, I must limit the winners to folks living in the United States and Canada as postage adds up quickly and international shipping for a tiny button is prohibitive.

Also, if your name is M.A. Larson or you're cast and crew of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, just let me know and I'll hook you up with however many you need!

And that's it!

tl;dr, keep an eye on my Twitter feed today and tomorrow, be one  of the first 15 correct replies to the trivia question, and get a button!

I really do wish I could just send a button to everybody who wants one.  I'll definitely have these for sale at upcoming conventions, but if you want to sport your super-fashionable M.A. Larson button in time for the season 3 finale, this is your chance!

UPDATE- Stream is now over and HOLY CATS FORTY-THREE PEOPLE!  That was a truely fun and overall silly stream, and thanks to everyone who took time out of their schedule to hang out with me and watch the greatest action movie of all time!  Join us next Thursday at 7pm EST as we DIE HARDER with Die Hard 2!

Are you thinking to yourself "Self, what I really want is to see Bruce Willis and Reginald Veljohnson save LA from Alan Rickman's embarrassing fake American accent tonight!"  Then you're in luck!  Tonight a bunch of us are hanging out in stream and watching the original Die Hard.  By "a bunch of us" I mostly mean myself and my imaginary friend Admiral ZombieRobotNinjaChef.  Still, if you are so inclined, join us for the engrossing documentary of the 1988 terrorist attack on Nakatomi Plaza- DIE HARD!

Stream starts a little before 7pm Eastern Time Zone.  We'll begin by checking out some trailers from the Die Hard series before the main event.

Tonight's festivities will be BYOB, as the matter transporter is still, tragically, full of exploded monkey.  RIP Mr. Jangles.

So today when I logged onto Deviant Art and looked through the updated journals, to what did my wandering eyes should appear, but a CERTAIN journal by a CERTAIN Ms. Lauren Faust featuring the logo for the Bronies documentary designed by a CERTAIN goofball hipster weirdo named ME!

What has at least two thumbs and can die happy? ME!  You'll just have to take my word for the number of thumbs.

HOLY CATS!  I know, it seems kind of insignificant, and it might be, but for boring old me in my little fangirl existence, this is just all kinds of awesome!  When I started making art about Friendship is Magic I hope to maybe someday get something posted to Equestria Daily or maybe see a dozen favorites on one of my comics.  Getting to do the amazing things I've done, getting an offhand shout-out from Ms. Faust, getting to know so many amazing friends, it's almost too much.  Thank you, from the bottom, top, left ventricle and semilunar valves of my heart for supporting me, being so incredibly nice to me, and altogether being kind, good-hearted, and downright brilliant friends who really do exemplify all the loyalty, genorosity, laughter, honesty, kindness, and, perhaps most of all, magic of this show we love.

Sadly, I have not yet gotten around to watching the documentary myself!  I've heard it's so good, but I'm anxious about seeing my ridiculous self in it!  I declined to be interviewed, but I think I show up in a couple scenes from Bronycon, with Seth, JJ, and I think on stage with Lauren at one point.  I'll probably swallow my pride and check it out sometime this week!

Okay, that's all for now!  I have to be off now so I can run around in circles, freaking out and making hooting noises!  Take care everyone!!!
I try to be humble and not as braggy and boastful as my favorite pony.  But this is a case where I'm pretty proud and I have to freak out just a little bit.

I am incredibly honored to have TWO pieces of art lurking around DHX studios!

One is the giant-enormous-mega-big collaborative poster made by TygerbugTimon1771, the always incredible egophiliac, and myself.  Apparently it's the first thing you see when you step off the studio elevator.  Well, either that or, if you're having a very lucky day, James Wootton's super-manly facial hair!  Here's a bigger version of the image on Timon's DA page.  I was responsible for Trixie, Snips, Snails, the parasprites, Tank, Owlicious, Gummy, Discord, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Winnona, Applebloom, and Jayson Thiessen pony.

The other is the poster I made for The Brony Thank You Fund and Toys For Tots!  I'm not sure where this is exactly.  Possibly the boiler room! Here's the poster on my DA page.

And, end self-serving, not-at-all-humble squee-fest!  We now return you to your regularly scheduled freaking about THIS WEEKEND'S INCREDIBLE AWESOME PERFECT EPISODE OMG TRIXIE SQUEE!
