It borders me to no end that I cannot figure out what this is a reference to.
Also it makes me think of a pony version of ocean's eleven called Twilights Eleven, where Twilight and her gangs of misfit friends tries to break into Trixie's casino in El Tronto. However I strached that idea as I simply couldn't figure out why they would do it.
I have seen that video clip before and it equally baffled me. I tried to look "bender" up in the online urban dictionary but I didn't get anything useful. I'm lost, I know it refers to something but I don't know what.
Okay, how about this? At Canterlot Gardens (a My Little Pony convention in Ohio), a number of famous voice actors like Tara Strong, John DiMaggio, Grey DeLisle, and Quinton Flynn all took part in a "blind reading" of the episode "Boast Busters" (the episode Trixie appears in). At one point, John DiMaggio (the voice of Bender from Futurama) reads for Trixie in his Bender voice. Here's a clip of Bender that'll help put the picture in clearer context: [link]
So yeah, being that the voice of Bender did the exact opposite of this, voicing Trixie's scenes, does this mean you're some sort of time traveler? Or do you have foresight? We could just call it magic... but I thought I'd ask :3
Demetri Martin made a career out of knowing useless things. So it'll be alright... Still, I call bakery witchcraft on the timing of this. One month before that even was a thing... You're some sort of amazing.
Some mornings you go on youtube and see the voice panel that was at Canterlot Gardens here in Ohio (yes i live here, didn't go though, kick myself in the ass for it) did a reading of boast busters and Marcus Fenix was trixie, while Bender was Rarity. god help my sides as i laughed harder than imaginable. and this, this just made me laugh even more. [link] in fact here's the video
