What derpy was using the portal gun:
• Derpy will shoot a portal in the middle of Ponyville

• Derpy will shoot another portal in her belly

• Derpy will put the sign that would say "insert food in the portal, and see where it goes"

• Then the food will transport to derpy's belly.
